'They have been boarded, imprisoned under glass I feel like a fish obliged to appear in front of the glass, behind a glass, in front of a gaze, flattering me the time it takes what is their experience of time? they are subjected, like me, patiently or impatiently to the goodwill of the masters'
(Jacques Derrida, The patience and impatience of fish )

The illusions are the same, but different. It is not to be tricked by the gaze, but to incorporate the embodiment of time in perception.
